Challenge and Background
The new Creative Placemaking Minor (2023) is a collaboration between the School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation (MAPP) and the College of Arts and Humanities (ARHU). It is part of the University of Maryland Arts for all initiative, which leverages the combined power of the arts, technology and social justice. I have had the opportunity to conceptualize, initiate, collaborate, and design illustrations that embody all aspects of the Creative Placemaking Minor at the University of Maryland.

Meaning behind the design
The main piece on the back of the shirt emphasizes diversity, team building, and the Architecture side of Creative Placemaking. The design on the front of the shirt represents the crucial purpose of community involvement & engagement while adding a pop of color to incorporate the Design and Art side of Creative Placemaking
