Men’s Maryland Crew at the University of Maryland is a student led club organization. I had the opportunity to design custom T-shirts for the team over the winter of 2025. The design features Rowing Oars oriented in a pattern and color scheme that closely resembles the Maryland State flag. The Crew team was happy with the results and were looking to get more shirts made for their upcoming annual fundraiser in April of 2026. The fundraiser is called an “Erg-a-thon” which consists of rowing exercise erg machines in constant motion by users of the team or volunteers for an extended period of time, similar to a relay race. It also tends to be in a public setting to garner attention, peak interest and donations, while creating collective camaraderie and team spirit.
I developed a core set of assets and visual design elements that aimed to evoke the hardworking spirit of Maryland Crew while promoting attention and hype for the event. In the end there were internal complications that disallowed the execution of shirts for the event.
